PLEASE READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY. BY CONTINUING TO USE THIS WEBSITE AND CAREERIST SERVICES (THE "SERVICES") YOU WILL BE DEEMED TO HAVE CONFIRMED THAT YOU (A) ARE ABOVE THE AGE OF 18 (EXCEPT IF YOU RESIDE IN THE STATE OF ALABAMA AND NEBRASKA YOU MUST BE 19 YEARS OR OLDER, AND YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD OR OLDER IF YOU RESIDE IN MISSISSIPPI), AND (B) HAVE ACCEPTED CAREERIST PRIVACY POLICY AS AN INTEGRAL PART OF CAREERIST CANCELLATION POLICY.
A student who made the payment for the Training Program and who provides a written notice of cancellation within seven (7) days from the batch start date after signing Enrollment Agreement (Agreement) is entitled to the full refund. Careerist shall make the full refund no later than thirty (30) days after receiving the notice of cancellation. Students who wish to cancel their enrollment in a program at Careerist must do so in writing.
In case a student is enrolled in a Bundle Training Program and student wants to withdraw from the course which is a part of the Bundle Training Program, the student may be entitled to the refund as follows: refund for the second course is calculated as the Total cost of the Agreement minus the first course cost set forth in the Agreement. The Student agrees to give Careerist a prompt notice of Student's withdrawal from the course of the Bundle Training Program but in any case within seven (7) days from the batch start date of the second course included in the Bundled Program.
If a student who paid Total cost for the Training Program needs to leave after completing the learning part of the program, the Student is entitled to a partial refund of 8% (eight percent) of the Total cost of the program upon written justified request to [email protected] no later than seven (7) business days from the start date of the internship.
If a student who paid Total cost for the Training Program needs to leave after completing the learning part of the program and internship, the Student is entitled to a partial refund of 2% (two percent) of the Total cost of the program upon written justified request to [email protected] no later than seven (7) business days from the start date of the career coaching services.
If a student who made the payment for the Training Program needs to leave the program during the first thirty (30) days due to health issues, medical emergencies, or death of an immediate family member such as parents, siblings, and children, a refund of the unused portion of total cost paid by the student shall be issued. Students will need to support a claim with appropriate documentation. Students are expected to provide full documentation at the time of withdrawal to request a refund.
In addition to the refunds described above, Careerist may, in its discretion, consider refund requests in extraordinary circumstances beyond your control that prevent you from completing the Program (for example, prolonged military deployment, jury duty in a complex matter, or other documented emergencies). Such reviews are at Careerist’s discretion; however, Careerist will not deny a refund where applicable law requires one to be given.
Careerist will process all refunds within thirty (30) days after the effective date of withdrawal or cancellation, except that, where applicable state law requires a shorter period, that shorter period will apply.
Refunds will be issued by the same payment method used for the original payment, unless impractical, in which case Careerist will issue the refund by another reasonable method and notify you.
If Careerist fails to issue a refund within the timeline set forth in this Section 8, the unrefunded amount will accrue simple interest at the lower of (a) ten percent (10%) per annum or (b) the maximum rate permitted by your state’s law, from the date the refund was due until the date of payment.
To cancel your enrollment or request a refund, send a signed and dated written notice to [email protected] that includes:
Students are responsible for retaining proof of submission. Careerist will acknowledge receipt of complete refund requests promptly and will notify you of the determination in writing.
Where the law of your state of residence provides minimum cancellation, withdrawal, or refund rights more favorable to you than the rights described in this Policy, those state-law minimums will apply.
Other than as expressly set forth in this Policy or as required by applicable law, Careerist does not provide refunds of Program fees, including for non-use, dissatisfaction, or violation of Careerist’s Terms of Service or Education Terms by the student. Acceptance of any refund extinguishes your right to access the Services and any related materials, except where the law of your state provides otherwise.
This Refund and Cancellation Policy is governed by, and disputes arising out of or relating to it are subject to, the governing law and dispute resolution provisions of your Enrollment Agreement or, if you have not signed an Enrollment Agreement, of Careerist’s Terms of Service, including the agreement to arbitrate before JAMS in New York County, New York and the limited small-claims-court exception. Nothing in this Policy waives any non-waivable consumer right under the law of your state of residence.
