FAQ

I don’t have experience in tech. Is this program suitable for me?

Absolutely! We’ve designed our training program with tech industry newcomers in mind, making it an excellent way for those without a technical background to enter the field.

I have a background in sales but lack technical experience or have only basic computer knowledge. What level of technical expertise do I need to secure a job in this field, and how can I bridge this gap effectively?

The required level of technical expertise for a sales engineering job can vary between companies. Some may prioritize advanced technical skills, while others value your willingness to learn. If you’re new to technology and have basic computer knowledge, there’s no need to be concerned. Our training program is designed for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with minimal tech experience. We’ve witnessed many students begin with limited technical knowledge and, through our training, successfully transition to become effective Sales Engineers. With the right training and a commitment to learning, you can make a successful career transition, regardless of your starting point.

How long is the Sales Engineering training program?

The Sales Engineering program includes: 6 weeks of live training, 3 weeks of internship simulator and 5-8 weeks of Career Coaching. While 16 weeks is our recommended timeline, our program is flexible and can extend to accommodate your schedule.

What does “internship simulator” mean?

The internship simulator provides a simulated environment tailored to replicate the tasks and challenges faced by Sales Engineers. It includes scenarios related to product demonstrations, technical sales presentations, customer interactions, and other aspects of sales engineering. The internship simulator allows you to practice and develop your skills in a controlled setting.

Will I receive a certificate?

Yes, you will receive certificates at various stages of your training. The first one is awarded after you complete your lessons. The second is earned when you finish the internship simulator, and the third certificate is granted after you start working on your job search with your Career Coach.

How do I know I’ll be able to secure a job after I finish the course?

Your job prospects in the field of sales engineering, as a course graduate, are influenced by your dedication to learning, your performance in the internship simulator, and your receptiveness to the career coaching provided. Your success in these three key stages increases your potential for securing a job in the field.

What kind of job placement assistance is offered post-completion?

Our career services help you avoid frustration by making your job search safer, faster, and more convenient. Your Career Coach will support you with advice, help analyze your progress, and prepare you for interviews or salary negotiations.

Who are the instructors?

Our instructors are seasoned experts, each with over a decade of experience in sales engineering. They have honed their skills at prestigious companies like HP, Dell, Oracle, HubSpot, ID.me, 4impactdata, and others. You’ll gain valuable insights and knowledge from these industry professionals with proven track records in the field.

What materials do I need during the learning stage?

We’ll provide you with all the necessary materials on your Learning Space, including presentations, glossaries, cheat sheets, self-check forms, and post-lesson guides.

Are the lessons live or recorded?

Our lessons are conducted in a live format, which is crucial for real-time interaction, immediate feedback, and personalized learning. This approach encourages active engagement and accountability while fostering a strong sense of community among students. If you miss the live class, you can also watch lesson recordings on your own time.

What is the schedule for live classes?

Live classes are held every weekday, Monday to Friday. The sessions commence at 5:30 pm PT, 7:30 pm CT, and 8:30 pm ET.

What do I do if I miss a live lesson?

If you can't make it to a live lesson, you can access the lesson recordings, which are available in the Learning space for you to watch at your convenience.

What kind of support will I receive during the learning stage and the internship simulator?

Our team is committed to providing comprehensive support throughout your journey in the learning stage and the internship simulator. We’ll guide you through a smooth onboarding process, resolve any technical issues you encounter, closely track your progress, offer constructive feedback, and promptly address your questions to ensure a productive and engaging learning experience. You’ll also have access to tech mentors who can assist you with various program aspects. Schedule one-on-one sessions with your tech mentor to enhance your learning journey and maximize the benefits of the internship simulation.

What technical requirements are necessary to participate in this course?

To take part in our Sales Engineering training program, you’ll need a computer with a dependable internet connection and access to a compatible web browser. Specific software and hardware requirements may vary by course, so it’s critical to review the course details for any additional prerequisites.

How does 1:1 Career Coaching work, and what topics will it cover?

1:1 Career Coaching involves a personalized partnership with a coach to help you achieve your career goals. You’ll practice interview questions, craft your resume and LinkedIn profile, and develop job search strategies.
